During Thanksgiving, my family and I took an amazing trip to NYC. This is a view from the top of the Freedom Tower. In this photo you can see the Brooklyn Bride, Manhattan Bridge, and the Williamsburg Bridge. The views in NY never get old!

Bad Moon Rising
There is an interesting story that goes with this photo… Last year I had difficulty capturing the fall leaves due to my work schedule and other small factors. I decided, around mid fall, to drive up to the mountains, one evening, to get some last minute fall shots with the sunset. When I arrived, the trees were bare and the sunset was not incredibly impressive. I became annoyed that I made the trip for no reason. As I started walking back to the car I turned the corner and this full moon was staring back at me. I dropped everything, got out my camera, set up my tripod, and went to town. It is so interesting how quick a mood can change 🙂

Phoebe & Friend
Phoebe & Friend is definitely one of the favorites in my collection. A totally unplanned shot… the grasshopper was relaxing on a little stool and Phoebe, my yellow lab, became curious. Phoebe was very cooperative. When I told her that I had to go get my camera and to please stay and to not eat the little grasshopper she looked at me with her wide labrador eyes. I took my chances and ran into the house, grabbed my camera, and when I got out Phoebe had her head resting on the stool in complete content. I basically went into burst mode and captured this once in a lifetime moment.

Walking or running the dogs at the Boulder Reservoir is something I do often. The views are spectacular, it’s never busy, the dogs can swim and run to their heart’s content and I never make it back to my car without one decent photo.
In this shot I used the fence as my leading line while focusing on the sun setting behind the foothills. The light reflected off the ground creating a golden hue which contrasted well with the sun’s yellow rays in the sky. Another shot taken with my wonderful iPhone!

A hike with my mom in Rocky Mountain National Park allowed me to capture this very tolerable bee doing what bees do best…This part of the trail was lined with trees so the bit of light that was shining through created wonderful shadows on the flowers. Another shot taken with the amazing iPhone 🙂

Make A Wish
My lawn is filled with these little plants and although many people refer to them as weeds and pull them out of frustration, what they don’t know is dandelions are filled with tons of vitamins and were used in Canada as a health remedy way way back in the 1700’s!
I use the dandelions in my yard to work on my macro photography. I shot this with My Canon 6D EF 24-105 lens at 97mm. 1/320 at f/4.0
I turned this photo into black and white in Lightroom during post production.
